Only 10 days left now before the opening ceremony in London, and if you don’t know what ceremony I’m talking about, well where have you been all year?
rucomfy beanbags is 100% supporting team GB this summer and have been busy working hard behind the scenes at the athlete’s village to make sure that team GB and the rest of the athletes from around the world have the right beanbags to relax on.
So after a hard day on the track, in the pool, or in a boat, the likes of Chris Hoy, Jessica Ennis, Rebecca Adlington and Ben Ainslie will all be able to chill out on a specially designed, lime green rucomfy beanbag, in preparation for their next round.
It’s taken us 18000m of material, 65000cuft of beans and a double capacity workforce to make sure the 8000 beanbags were ready in time, but we’re proud to say we did it well ahead of schedule.
Here’s what the BBC had to say about the rucomfy beanbags in a recent report on the athletes village “The foam block loungers with their turquoise blue fabric covers are comfortable enough, as are the funky green beanbags, which I reckon will be the most popular for flopping on.” (to read the full report click here)
So we’re happy we’ve done all we can to give team GB and the rest of the World’s athletes the best start for the games, and everyone here at rucomfy beanbags truly does hope that every athlete will enjoy flopping on our beanbags.
I should finish this piece there, but we are a 100% British business, so please forgive us for wanting to be slightly patriotic by shouting; Go Team GB – keep those medals here in the UK!
