Do bean bags feature in your office?

Do bean bags feature in your office?Office jockeys looking to improve their workplace may want to follow the advice of one publication by introducing some bean bag chairs.

Writing in the Guardian, Jonathan Glancey reveals some of the key office design trends as documented in the I Wish I Worked There! A Look Inside the Most Creative Spaces in Business book by Kirsty Groves and Will Knight.

As the publication offers an insight into the offices of companies such as Google, Sony, Innocent Drinks and Virgin, the use of bean bag chairs in such “funky” workplaces appears to be a common thread.

In addition to bean bags, he notes that other “essential ingredients” for a lively and creative office include table-football machines, video screens and “walls painted the colours of a packet of Refreshers”.

“Hip, hop and happening interior design is held up as the way to go if your brand wants to ignite the creativity of its staff,” he claims.

But bean bags can not just be a key feature of offices, as the Press-Enterprise reported that a new library at the Cottonwood School in Hemel features such seating “for readers to settle into”.
