Parents looking to create somewhere for their kids to do their homework in comfort may want to consider the role that bean bags can play in such a room.
Speaking to the Toronto Star, stylist Janette Ewen claims that a study area should be a place where children feel encouraged to do their schoolwork.
"They should be warm, inviting and creative places for kids to learn and have fun," she points out.
And it appears that bean bags could help to create such an environment. Ms Ewen reveals that upon creating a study room for one of her clients, she set up a reading area featuring two large bean bags.
"I interviewed the kids and their friends to find out what they liked to do and what made them feel comfortable and I designed it around that," the designer tells the publication.
Writing for NOLA.com last month, Karen Taylor Gist claimed that bean bags could be an ideal piece of furniture to place in a reading nook.
