Presence of bean bag chairs in call centre highlighted

A former call centre employee has revealed how her old place of work featured bean bag chairs.

Speaking to Call Centre Helper, Elinor Davies reveals that upon finishing her degree she was keen to get a job quickly in order to save up enough money to go travelling on her gap year.

Getting a temporary position at the O2 call centre in Bury, Ms Davies notes that once the training period was over she soon "began to enjoy the work".

And it seems bean bag chairs have played a role in this. She states that the office "was a giant hive of activity", although a chill-out area fitted with bean bags and magazines provided somewhere that employees could relax.

However, this is not the first place of work to feature bean bag chairs. A Model D article in August revealed that the new Detroit offices of US financial services provider Quicken Loans contain bean bags, as well as a number of murals created by graffiti artist Antonio 'Shades' Agee.

Comfortable nature of bean bag chairs highlighted

For those looking for furniture that will allow them to relax in comfort there is nothing better than bean bags.

This is according to Franky Little, who writes in a blog post for Lujakallio that as people are increasingly keen to have luxurious seating, bean bag chairs can help them to stay nice and cosy.

And as the writer indicates that there are a range of bean bags available, including children's bean bags and bean bag sofas, homeowners should be able to find something that is suitable for them.

The aesthetic appeal of bean bag chairs was also noted. As they are available in a wide variety of designs, colours and materials, it was stated that they can be "the perfect fit for your comfort", as well as being an effective way of giving a tired-looking room a lift.

Writing in The 1960s blog earlier this month, Allen Taigom claimed that bean bags "are one of the most comfortable seats you will ever take a rest off your feet on".

Purchase bean bag chairs for children’s rooms, parents advised

Bean bag chairs can prove to be an effective item of furniture to have in children's rooms, should the advice of one publication be anything to go by.

A Creston News Advertiser article reports that when it comes decorating bedrooms for boys and girls "the sky's the limit in terms of colour, shape and style".

However, it appears that bean bags are able to play a role in creating a stylish room that kids will just love, as such furniture is just one of the items that the piece recommends parents buy.

In addition to bean bag chairs, mums and dads may also want to consider the publication's suggestion to purchase retro-style wall art and "edgy" desk lamps with built-in organisers.

"Have fun as you create a unique, special space that your child will be proud to call his or her own," the article states.

Meanwhile, Harry Lamerson noted in a recent EzineMark.com article that bean bag chairs are ideal for those who wish to "simply unwind with friends and family members".

New show home features bean bags

A new show home in Essex is to be opened up to the public this weekend, with one of the rooms featuring bean bags among the furniture.

Called the Otford, the property is part of Redrow's The Lakes development in Heybridge, near Maldon, Essex and offers families a waterside location.

Beryl Williams, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Eastern) stated that what makes the houses unique is the way that a third floor has been incorporated into a standard two-storey property.

The additional rooms in the roof mean that a family can enjoy lots of space, with the extra rooms boasting bean bags for people to sit on.

"One has been made into a twin room, with two single beds, while the other is a games room, with a snooker table and bean bags. A computer station makes the spacious landing area work as an additional living space," Ms Williams added.

Jennifer Decosta noted in a piece for The Article Board recently that while bean bag chairs appeal to people of all ages, they are especially good for young children.

South African wineland provides bean bags for visitors

The Warwick Estate in Stellenbosch is one of the best wine farms at which to enjoy a picnic in the whole of South Africa, with visitors provided with bean bag chairs to help them relax.

According to winemag.co.za, Warwick, which is open all-year round, takes picnicking to another level, giving guests the ultimate luxury experience while they enjoy the glorious sunshine.

"You can sit on 'The Lawns' spilling out onto the dam, where you can relax under umbrellas on scatter cushions and bean bags while being served by your own picnic butler," the magazine highlighted.

After relaxing on bean bags, visitors can then explore the rest of the grounds before enjoying a bite to eat from acclaimed chef Bruce Robertson's menu, which offers several sophisticated dishes.

Allen Taigom, writing on The 1960s blog, said that what makes bean bags so appealing is the fact that they are among the most comfortable pieces of furniture people can buy.

Writer points to comfortable nature of bean bag chairs

The cosy nature of bean bag chairs has been highlighted by one writer.

In a piece for EzineMark.com, Harry Lamerson notes that such an item of furniture is perfect for those looking to curl up with a good book or who wish to watch television in total comfort.

Similarly, he claims that bean bags are ideal for people who want to "simply unwind with friends and family members".

However, bean bag chairs and sofas also have aesthetic appeal, with the writer pointing out "there are loads of colourful patterns to choose from" when people come to buy such furniture.

Mr Lamerson goes on to note that bean bag chairs can be made from a variety of materials – including faux leather, vinyl and cotton twill – and are a "versatile way to furnish practically any space in the home".

Writing for Ezine Article earlier this month, John Espinosa claimed that using bean bags chairs is a quick way of giving a home a lift.

Long-lasting popularity of bean bags highlighted

Bean bag chairs have proven to be a consistently sought-after item of furniture, according to one blog.

In an entry on SteveSchalchlin.com, Franky Little notes that while bean bags were "demanded excessively" when they were first brought out, they continue to be popular to this day.

And with bean bag chairs said to be available in a variety of designs and colours, people should be able to find something which suits their style.

"These chairs are very relaxing, infact sometimes while studying I fall asleep on this chair and suddenly I wake up in the morning to realise that I have been sleeping in that chair since night," the reviewer adds, claiming they are perfect for relaxing in after a busy, stressful day.

Meanwhile, the cost-effectiveness of bean bags was praised, as they were noted as being "affordable for everyone".

Such comments follow a recent piece for The Article Board in which Jennifer Decosta claimed that bean bags offer people "ultimate relaxation and comfort".

Student notes presence of bean bag chair in bedroom

A student-athlete has revealed how a bean bag chair is the focal point of his bedroom.

Speaking to the Daytona Beach News-Journal, David Collum notes that he has a "big" bean bag in his room.

And it could well be that he uses such an item of seating for playing computer games and watching television.

Pointing out that he has a 32-inch LCD HD TV in his bedroom, Mr Collum notes that he plays "pretty much any game" and is a fan of titles such as Halo, Street Fighter and Call of Duty.

In addition to his bean bag, the high school swimmer indicated that his room contains a number of posters featuring films and bands that he likes.

Earlier this month, a Tallahassee Home and Garden article reported that bean bags are a particularly comfortable piece of furniture with which to watch television on, adding that they offer people "a laidback feel that's light on your wallet".

Youth theatre festival to feature bean bags

Those attending a theatrical festival in Australia later this month have the chance to take in performances while sat on bean bag chairs, it has been revealed.

A Cairns Post article reports that as The Young Company (TYC) prepares to host You're Rite – a series of short plays written by teenagers – from October 29th, it has acquired a number of bean bags to allow people to watch in a relaxed environment.

"They will be nights of celebration," Leigh Boswell, TYC artistic director, tells the publication.

"I want the audience to go away thinking about what it is like to be a teenager," she adds.

With the use of bean bag chairs seemingly set to play a role in this, the plays will tackle subjects such as cyber-bullying and friendship.

However, people may also find bean bags to be a great piece of seating on which to watch films at home. Writing for Moviematics.com last month, Neil Turner claimed such furniture is "ideal" for watching DVDs in total comfort.

Comfortable nature of bean bag sofas highlighted

Bean bag sofas are one of the most comfortable items of furniture available.

This is the view of Allen Taigom, who notes in an entry on The 1960s blog that such seating has been a popular option for many years "as they are one of the most comfortable seats you will ever take a rest off your feet on".

He goes on to praise their flexibility and versatility, pointing out that they can be easily moved around in order to watch television on as well being a handy place to sleep.

"The really well made ones are soft yet firm enough to give good lumbar support," Mr Taigom states, adding that as people have a wide variety of colours and materials to choose from when buying bean bags they should be sure to pick out something that suits them.

Such comments come after a recent Video Game Chair article reported that large bean bags are a "wonderful addition to any room in the house".
