A former call centre employee has revealed how her old place of work featured bean bag chairs.
Speaking to Call Centre Helper, Elinor Davies reveals that upon finishing her degree she was keen to get a job quickly in order to save up enough money to go travelling on her gap year.
Getting a temporary position at the O2 call centre in Bury, Ms Davies notes that once the training period was over she soon "began to enjoy the work".
And it seems bean bag chairs have played a role in this. She states that the office "was a giant hive of activity", although a chill-out area fitted with bean bags and magazines provided somewhere that employees could relax.
However, this is not the first place of work to feature bean bag chairs. A Model D article in August revealed that the new Detroit offices of US financial services provider Quicken Loans contain bean bags, as well as a number of murals created by graffiti artist Antonio 'Shades' Agee.
