Children’s bean bags and other props are being used in Arizona City as part of a storytelling session for preschoolers.
The US city’s library holds Storytime Monday once a week, where children can listen to stories being read out loud, the Arizona City Independent reports.
“It’s a great time and fun for the parents and children,” librarian Joyce Baker states.
And bean bags play their part in the storytelling sessions, as Ms Boyce notes that props such as these – as well as puppets and drumsticks – are also used.
“Storytime is a great opportunity for parents to visit with each other and browse the library while the children enjoy the stories,” she adds.
In addition to hearing stories such as Counting Crocodiles and Pete the Cat, there is the chance to take part in sing-along songs and colouring sessions.
However, this is not the first time there has been a link between bean bag chairs and libraries.
One school librarian asked the readers of Uptrend News for advice on the facility’s refurbishment, with several respondents claiming the revamped library should feature bean bags.
